Part mystic lady of the forest, part 1940's siren, Amber Skye has carved out a world all her own. Based in Brooklyn, this fiery Singer/Songwriter/Actor/Visual Performance Artist launched a successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this year which helped bring her new EP, Rivers, to life in 2015. The finished EP is off to a promising start and is being hailed as "infectiously catchy,” "hauntingly beautiful" and a "simply must hear." The title track Rivers was named "The most atmospheric new track" by Jaden Smith on Apple Beats 1 Radio, where the Rivers single recently premiered in November. Skye had previously released a single "Howlin" in 2013, of which she also directed the music video. "I took some time to really explore the sounds and stories I wanted to share, and I'm so happy with how the EP turned out" Amber says. The six track Rivers EP features electro synths, haunting piano & guitar, and full, epic drums which reign supreme, drawing many sonic comparisons to Florence and the Machine, Lorde, and Lana del Rey. The EP song titles and lyrics are tied together by a dark, mystical theme, but at their core, Amber Skye’s songs are always rooted in love, heartbreak and longing.
On screen, Skye brings the same otherworldly yet fiery edge in her most recent acting roles such as "Tori," a mythical she-beast on The CW's Beauty and the Beast and as "Pepper" on NBC's The Blacklist. Skye most recently filmed an HBO pilot alongside James Franco, which is pending release in 2016. "Acting fuels my songwriting, and vice versa," says Skye. "I'm a storyteller at heart and I love engaging with audiences in different ways."
"Mystical" immediately comes to mind when encountering Skye, but despite her ethereal qualities, there's no doubt this quick witted songstress can tell it like it is. It is this charming other-worldliness of Skye's persona, contrasted with her down to earth, Brooklyn realism (and often gut wrenching lyrics) that make Amber Skye and her music so dynamic and engaging. Live audiences can expect Amber to bring a enchanting, theatrical flare to her live performances (with no shortage of surprises)

Sean Mcverry
Sean McVerry began making songs when he accidentally didn't practice for his 5th grade piano recital. Since then he has become a man and moved to Brooklyn. He is now based out of Bushwick. He aims to create pop music with substance all the while subtly incorporating influences that shaped him as a writer (i.e. Ravel, Brian Eno, The Beach Boys). The resulting product has left him with "Dirty Casio-driven electro pop with the occasional introspective ballad". He is a product of his environment and constantly growing as a writer and performer.
