Evan^Patrick is 80s arena pop meets ‘10s Brooklyn. His single Body is top 40 catchy, straightforward, and incredibly fun, while his entire ethos revolves around bright colors against a stark backdrop, creating beauty in its contrast. Evan’s voice captures the style of New Order or The Cure, burning like embers over this ever-relevant style of production. For many of us these bands defined our teen years, and the lyrics and playfulness of Evan^Patrick’s music bring him into the minds eye of the teenage boys and girls in all of us.

With vocalist Kali Holloway’s vocal strength, nearly imparting vivaciousness to it’s audience, and Jeremy Wimmer’s shimmery and appropriately hollow 80s style production, Easy Lover strikes a successful chord, standing out amidst a sea of glittery dream pop outfits. Easy Lover embodies simple sounds that out of context could even be cheesy, in a pragmatic way. The duo beckons to something in me; maybe it’s the little boy who used to belt out Heart’s Alone, or maybe it’s the 80s production loving, diva worshipping man I am today. Kali is coming very close with that 80s powerhouse voice (she needs some big hair to go with it), and Jeremy’s production here is stellar.

Wolvves makes the bass quiver under their other worldly electro-goth style, with their eerie whispers hovering amidst swarthy production. Elements of dubstep and synth powered choruses capture Wolvve’s ability to bring their audience to the dark side for the party of their lives. At times their sound evolves into dance tracks, speculatively reaching out to listeners to hop on another wavelength, another world; a world this family coven has crafted with their completely immersive bass and synth. Like damn, this shit is hot!
