$20.00SHADOW CHILD
UK based Shadow Child made his debut via the mighty Dirtybird early in 2012, mostly thanks to the EP's lead track "String Thing" dominating Eats Everything' and Claude Vonstroke's DJ sets, the World over. This new alias for one of House music's already known names has turned down an exciting path with underground bass-led grooves plus all the quirks and depth you'd expect in the cooler rooms around the globe. Remixes and DJ dates are filling the diary as a new musical dawn begins.. the Shadow Child is no more a 'side-Project', it's here to stay.
Worthy

When it comes down to all the press and hype, his name says it all. He is Worthy. With an in-depth knowledge of production, mixing, and performance, Worthy has the insight to play for his audience, cultivating intense positive energy on the dance floor that can only be portrayed as superhuman. His sound can be described as organic breakbeats with a mix of future house, 80's, booty bass, and techno. As Carl Cox said, "The Worthy sound has always been powerful, rocking, funky, bass-driven music at its best, and for me this is the new wave in house music." Worthy has received the recognition of major producers who have played his tracks including Sven Vath, Diplo, and Richie Hawtin, among many.
From salty aired islands to dark club basements, Worthy pays reverence to the traditional form of classic house while tripping off the mark and sinking into the euphoric less-charted territories of booty-clapping bass. Touring the globe, Worthy has performed at renowned venues like Hive in Switzerland, Sankeys in the UK, Electric Pickle in Miami, and Mezzanine in San Francisco. Beloved by his fanatical devotees, Worthy has drawn huge crowds to catch his heart-palpitating, sweat-inducing sets at festivals like Coachella, Ultra, Love Parade, and Burning Man. In 2011, Urb Magazine named Worthy one of the Top DJ's To See at Burning Man, along with M.A.N.D.Y., Andy C, Soul Clap, Seth Troxler, and The Crystal Method.
Growing up in Washington DC, Worthy was inspired by the early American rave scene. Upon moving to New York in the late 90's, he was exposed to artists like LTJ Bukem and Stacey Pullen whose music inspired him to play records across multiple genres, from techno and breaks to hiphop and drum n' bass. In 2001 he swapped coastlines, moving to San Francisco to pursue his music career. He team up with Claude VonStroke as well as fellow east coast brothers Justin and Christian Martin to create the prodigious outdoor party, Dirtybird, which quickly became an institution and a requisite destination for die-hard Bay Area and international fans. Dirtybird Records hatched from the popularity of these parties in 2005, and since then the label and parties have enjoyed tremendous success fueled by the obsession of their cult following.
In 2007 Worthy's breakout track, Irst Te, released on Dirtybird, quickly established his notoriety as a producer. Concurrently, Worthy released Crack El EP on Leftroom, and soon after, the track Work The Walls and it's accompanying music video on his personal label, Anabatic Records. Originally intended as an outlet for the release of his own music, Anabatic quickly branched out to sign new artists. Riding the frontlines of today's music scene, Anabatic Records has been providing a steady stream of edgy, high quality tracks.
In recent years, Worthy has produced a consistent slough of top releases. The release of Worthy & Yankee Zulu's Concumbia charted in the Top 10 on Beatport for tech house in 2009. He also released various tracks and remixes on Discobelle Records. In the fall of 2011, Worthy teamed up with UK producer Eats Everything. Their first track, Tric Trac, released on Dirtybird received industry praise. Played by artists like Diplo, Boyz Noise, and Cats N' Dogs, Tric Trac wildly grew in fan appeal moving on to become one of the Top 10 on Beatport for tech house once again. Additionally, Worthy's simultaneous releases, No Cure and With This combine dirty ass-clapping breaks and gritty synths. The pinball effect of his intricate basslines traverse across the cavern of your ear canal moving inward and blowing your mind. Illustrating the diverse juxtaposition of his range and sound, his February 2012 release, Why You Waiting, on Alive Records, is like glassy water on a quiet morning sea, his beats & melodies mirroring each other, creating a melodic interface that warms the soul. As Worthy states "I want to push my new sound, which is leaning more toward a breakbeat old-school vibe, but still want to keep with the fact that I play house and techno. My focus is to stay innovative and authentic and to continually reinvent myself as an artist."
Worthy has an original flavor that will amp you up, leaving you feigning for more. The synchronization of Worthy's music speaks to the connoisseur, the DJ, the groupie and the novice alike. Finding balance and unison across all electronic music platforms, his music is unparalleled. He reads his crowd, breaking and fusing genres, blending styles, and establishing an energetic dance floor camaraderie that makes even the most skeptic hater's booty shake.

Curses
Curses was originally an Institubes (RIP) artist back in 2009 and to most had disappeared.
However, at 6am, November 19th 2012 at an afterparty in New York, Curses came back.
"I was going to a lot of after-hours parties in Brooklyn and loved it. It inspired me to go to the studio and suddenly I had a whole bunch of new songs. Next thing I was djing. It was at that point when I knew Curses was coming back."
And Curses has hit a nerve with the first single SO GOOD.
He sent the track to a few friends and suddenly the song is being played on Radio 1. Seven times in two weeks. On top of that Heidi asked for a DJ mix for Radio 1 as well as long-time friend Skream.
Meanwhile back in the US, Tensnake was about to begin his first ever full North American tour with Curses in support. A strong friendship was formed and pushed Curses to full-time.
Curses has a slew of massive singles coming out in 2013 and 2014 on various labels.
Star Eyes
: website : facebook : twitter
The first time Star Eyes touched a turntable was at the age of 15, when she decided she wanted to take up Djing. Sick of listening to rave DJ's with bad taste in breakbeats, she began buying jungle with the intention of playing to her bedroom walls. After giving out tapes to her friends and having her mixes featured on L.A.'s Underground Source info line, friends began asking her to play out at local jungle events. At that time, she was the only female junglist playing out in the Los Angeles area. In 1995, Star Eyes moved to the Bay Area to attend UC Berkeley. Star Eyes' name would soon become synonymous with the San Francisco jungle sound. Founding the B.A.S.S. Kru with original members DJ Abstract, Flux, and Hak from San Jose, she helped throw a series of weekly clubs and one-offs (Bass Instinct, Audio Impact, etc.) that would establish S.F. as a hotbed for drum and bass to this day. Star Eyes also released Ruffage during this time, a tape which has passed through ravers hands from the West to East Coast and back again.
For the last six years, 22-year old Star Eyes has been an integral figure in West Coast drum and bass. With her skillful mixing, diverse track selection, and her ear for what works the crowd, she is known for tearing up dancefloors worldwide. She is one of the original residents (alongside Sage) of San Francisco's most popular and longest running drum and bass night, Eklektic, where she has played alongside UK favorites such as Storm and Bailey, John B, Fierce, and Technical Itch. Eklektic has been featured in Details, Playboy and Urb (among other magazines), as well as being named "Best Drum and Bass" club in San Francisco by the Bay Guardian. An avid traveler, Star Eyes has played internationally as well. Her overseas gigs include playing London's long-running Movement night (residents are Bryan G, JJ Frost, and Ray Keith), the Rachdingue club in Barcelona (Spain), the Bikini in Toulouse (France), and O.P.A. and Radio Nova in Paris, France. Stateside, she has rocked it from East to West. On the East, Star Eyes was a resident at Jungle Roots in Boston, and played in New York (Konkrete Jungle, Jungle Nation, Camoflauge), Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Miami. In the West, she is a resident with Dynamo productions in Seattle, and has played in San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Portland, Salt Lake City. The Midwest loves Star Eyes as well: Chicago, Columbus, Minneapolis and Madison, as well as filling in for absentee headliners Trace and Ed Rush at the infamous Further rave in 1997. She has played alongside such heavy hitters as DJ SS, DJ Rap, DJ Dazee, Jumping Jack Frost, Storm & Bailey, Stakka & Skynet, Storm & Bailey, John B, Perfect Combination, Dieselboy, Dara, Rob Playford and many more. Star Eyes has been featured in Urb Magazine, Option, Xlr8r, Massive and Bean Magazine. You may have also seen Star Eyes' name in print – when she's not DJ'ing, Star Eyes (Viviann Host) is Editor for the San Francisco edition of Flyer Magazine and writes for dance music magazines nationwide.
DKDS
: website : facebook : twitter
DKDS are rising stars of the NYC underground, night creatures whose main goal in life is to make you stay up too late and dance 'til dawn. DKDS is made up of Scrap and Chris – two tall, dark cousins who hail from Seattle and New York, respectively. The two reunited in Brooklyn over a mutual love of jackin' deep house and techno and formed a DJ duo; over the last couple years their back-to-back sets have made a serious mark on NYC nightlife, one debauched party at a time. The boys recently caught the attention of MeanRed, who made them residents of their Dark Disco party deep Downtown. They're also hard at work on original tracks with the edgy-yet-suave vibe that is their signature. Don't sleep… no, really.
Doctor Jeep
: website : facebook : twitter
Doctor Jeep is a 23-year old New York native known to most as Andre Lira. As a founder of Boston's Banana Peel crew, he's quickly gaining notoriety as one of the city's most diverse young selectors, blending upbeat house and techno with the global sounds of baile funk, dancehall, old-school uk garage, african percussionism and more. With eclectic DJ sets mixing the past, present, and future of dance music in some of Boston's best clubs, he has proven to adapt to any vibe and make it his own style of party.
Production-wise, Jeep's music has been described as "a style somewhere between the tropical inclinations of Dutty Artz, the grinding 808 electro of Swamp81, and the breakbeat-heavy sound of 90′s UK rave music." With several original EPs and remixes on Freshmore, Hot Mom USA, Trouble & Bass, Youngunz amongst other labels, and support from international artists such as Claude VonStroke, Armand Van Helden, Shy FX, Roska, B.Traits, Lando Kal, and Kastle, the future looks bright for this young producer.
