Jonathan Shulman, aka, Proper Villains has been blowing up dance floors with his unique take on bass music since the days of lugging crates of vinyl to raves & loft parties in the Guiliani era late 90′s/early 2000′s. His name is synonymous with a distinctly New York sensibility, aggressive yet accessible. He seamlessly blends elements of underground sounds like dubstep, electro-house & moombahton with hip-hop & just a smattering of pop music, giving his DJ sets a "Holy @#$%, did he really just do that?!?!?" quality that keeps him in high demand. A seasoned producer & multi-instrumentalist, his first break came in 2008 when his single "Trick Baby" was featured on "The Black Ghosts mixtape". This lead to releases on Southern Fried, Nightshifters, Flamin' Hotz & Play Me records, as well as remixes for The Stereo MCs, Ninjasonik, Cubic Zirconia, Dirty Disco Youth & Theophilus London. Before every Top 40 song had a dubstep breakdown, Proper Villains' hit remix of the Cataracs' "Bass Down Low" was smuggling wobble onto to the airwaves of Power 106 in LA and Hot 97 in NYC. An in demand remixer, in 2011 he produced remixes for major label artists Enrique Iglesias, Dev, Havana Brown, Pitbull, Lil Jon, & Far East Movement, as well as indie favorites Roger Seventytwo & Childish Gambino. His viral bootlegs of Waka Flocka and Rihanna continue to smash pop stars and festival-worthy heaviness together, much to the delight of PV's dedicated fan base online and in clubs across the globe. Whether it's on the beach in Hawaii or his home town of New York City, Proper Villains has been making full use of subwoofers for massive crowds, sharing the stage with artists like LA Riots, 12th Planet, Nadastrom, Borgore and Caspa. He has opened for international headliners Infected Mushroom, The Crystal Method and Mark Farina, winning new fans each and every time. Dj Yamez began his dynamic career in Pittsburgh and in 2004 burst on the New York scene; since then he has wasted no time becoming a reputable figure in the music industry. His name garners attention and respect not only in New York but throughout the country, especially in his hometown of Pittsburgh. In an incredibly short period of time, Yamez has become one of the leading DJ’s for Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, Dance Music and Turntablism in the Tri-state area. Yamez has been the tour DJ for Donnis, Stalley, & Ninjasonik and has opened for national and international acts such as, World of Drum & Bass, Spitkicker Tour, Moto X, DJ Craze & Skibadee, Capital J, Manny Mania Pro Skate Contest, Maloof Money Cup, Summer Jam (multiple states), Afropunk and Craig David, & just recently did the Chapter V tour 30 cities with Trey Songz, Miguel & Elle Varner & last but not least rocked Radio City Hall on NYE 2012 with NAS! While touring with the X-Ecutioners on the DUB Magazine Tour, he had the privilege to record and co-produce tracks with this legendary group. Haruka Salt 999 is more than just a dj she is an artist some would say an icon to be reckoned with. Haruka Salt 999 was classical trained in Japan since the age of two. As a little girl playing the piano and violin she yearned to create. Once she hit high school and started making her friends dance she decided to take her skills to the next level and started dj’ing in Japan with Odoriya and various underground sought out venues. Ms. Salt 999 decided to move to the states start from scratch and build a name for herself. This she has done and more. Starting by founding Banana’s an alternative dance party based in Brooklyn, NY that grew to party goers traveling from overseas to be apart of the magic. It has been considered one of the first wildest, craziest dance parties in Bedstuy, Brooklyn.While spending time giving the Brooklyn masses their music fix she has also played at well known nightife venues in New York such as at La Esquina, Jane Hotel, Le Pomme and Lit Lounge to W.I.P. . 2011 has been a busy year for Ms. Salt. Starting off she traveled to Finand to the Unajan Juhannas Festival after the festival played for Domino and made an appearance on a radio show. Bustling back to New York she premiered as a dj for the launch of LadyGunn Magazine. Fashion Night Out in New York sponsored an event with Miguel and Cpperwheat X Cappellini featuring the musical talents of Haruka Salt 999. For CMJ New York 2011 she played for Bunny Jawn presented by Roxy Cottontail. In 2012 Haruka Salt 999 has been cultivating a following in the underground nightlife sceene. She has been a fixture at the coveted “afterhours”. Spending time dj’ing at warehouse venues and underground gritty NY locations has brought her music full circle. She pushes musical boundaries and has brought her wealth of knowledge fusing sounds. Her 4’9 height and small frame encompasses a knowledge about culture, community, and art that she bring to the turntables. Mixing up electro, house, soul, hip hop, alternative, rock , 80’s, 90’s and world music fusing them into explosives sounds that get the masses on their feet and smiling the entire time.
